BTW. Did channel testing within HD HomeRun. Seems some of these channels are marked as copy protected by my provider according to the player built into the HDHomeRun Setup... Not sure if that's significant.

Sorry, I had to run in a hurry. Boss called. 
I now have a conference call in 3 minutes which I expect to take at least half an hour.
In the short time I spent with you, I think we figured out that the channels which aren't working are channels which your provider has marked with copy protection "copy once" or higher.
Any channel that works in HDHR QuckTV should work in MP and vice versa. These are "copy freely" channels.
The same limitation applies for all software that I"m aware of outside of WMC (WMC can view/record copy once channels too).
