While reading thru the log after discovering WMP caused errors in the MP2 server log, I found this in a Long Section of the log
http://192.168.1.251:49155/GetDlnaResource/cf10fc94-9a30-441e-b36c-1741a2ccff2f
When I plugged it into a browser, it never responded BUT the Internet Explorer never timmed out...
Then I found this added to the log
[2015-02-04 18:12:53,680] [5802146] [130 ] [DEBUG] - DlnaResourceAccessModule: Attempting to load mediaitem cf10fc94-9a30-441e-b36c-1741a2ccff2f

All the Search errors poped up

I think the best solution would be to change the level of severity of problems with the search such that UPnP criteria parse failures are logged as errors but failed conversions are logged as warnings (and the method returns a valid response with no results). That way it will work for unexpected requests but if someone ever says "I tried searching for <X> using <Y> and got no results" there will be something in the log.
