I usually like to keep everything as original as possible. For audio that means using EAC and FLAC. However, for movies I certainly could do away with the FBI warnings (I don't mind the label intro from the different studios, though) and instead jump right to the menu. HD Decrypter offers:
1) Copy Non-DVD files
2) Change DVD playback order
3) Remove annoying PGCs
Could 2 and 3 cause any compatibility problems with MediaPortal (or other programs). HD Decrypter says "Navigation (PathPlayer must be enabled)". I don't know what the later is and what consequences there will be if PathPlayer is not available but the options were enabled.
Also what are the Non-DVD files? Could that cause problems for MediaPortal?
I just want to make sure and not having to re-rip everything once I'm done.
Btw, could the PGCs be removed later (in a batch process) from all the iso files? If so I would just disable the options to make sure I won't have any problems down the road.
Thanks
