hello,
i am using latest version (the 20) and the only way for me to have mepo audi remderer in graphedit is to set the "forcedirectsound" to 1 in the registery , without this i have it ingraphedit but not used (not linked). i attach my logs if someone could help me understand. is it a problem to force direct sound?
thanks in advance.

What audio decoder you are using?

04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] WAVEFORMATEX - CheckMediaType
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nAvgBytesPerSec 0
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nBlockAlign 0
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nChannels 6
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nSamplesPerSec 48000
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] wBitsPerSample 0
04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] wFormatTag 8193

At least it is wanting to use 0 bit audio format.

i am using ffdshow audio decoder without passthrough.
what does this "0 bit audio format" means?

    Hi there,

    My post?

To be honest, I do have problems with the renderer (and I will post logs), my problem is on channel change, sometimes the audio screws up (makes a high pitch clicking sound) - Changing channel back again solves it.

0 bit is 0 bits per second/sample - tends to be very boring/quiet as there is no data :). Something is very wrong.

Do you happen to have Onkyo amp?

    Hi there,

Unfortunately I wasn't given permission to do any testing last night (there was a new TV episode that the "other half" HAD to watch. :(

I have an old Sony AV amp (one of those 1U high things that does DD, DTS, etc)

I'll try and grab some logs tonight.

    Thanks,

    J.

AW: Re: MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

I'm using the 4TR Tuner Argus, that is really great.
Except one thing: over network the played ts file begins to stutter, after a new ts-file was created(runs all over unc). With the audiorenderer the video is smooth, but there are still problems with the sound every 3-4 seconds. Perhaps anyone could help me.

But I do (not the "stock" issue) but randomly the LPCM input channels are swapped (and even corrupted completely) - this is a firmware issue on specific Onkyo amps (update available, but I havent had time to send the dev PC's amp to repair since the firmware cannot be self updated).

If the issue doesn't happen with local TS files played in My Videos then this is a wrong thread to troubleshoot the issue.

Hi Tourettes, i am using your mpaudiorenderer for some time now and it's working great. Just today i found out that a collection of Tom & Jerry DVD's are not giving any audio.
My settings are just the basic ones but AC3encoding is enabled. If i select the directsound renderer i get sound. But with mpaudiorenderer nothing at all.
The DVD audio is in AC3 1.0
Any clue? Maybe i just have to enable some settings?
