Hi

ITV1 HD transmits on two channels one is 1920x1080i, the other is something like 1440x 810i(?)

I believe ITV1 HD London broadcasts at 1440x1080i and ITV1 HD Granada at 1920x1080i.
I think both BBC1 HD and BBC HD use 1440x1080i.

AW: MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

i simply cannot register the v20 filter.
the regsvr32 tool tells me that everything is fine, but i cannot find the filter neither with some filter manager nor within MP config.

    Any idea?

BTW, i never had issue with register ds filters manually on my system!

Sorry, no clue. If there are issues with the registering it should already state that when regsvr32 is run. After a successful filter registration audio renderer should be visible in the audio renderers category in GraphEdit. If it is not then I have no clue what happens.

ok, got it, very stupid mistake from me.
I was just looking in the wrong category. It's a real audio renderer, not a ds filter codec.
    Sorry for that.

ATi 4200 is most likely not enough beefy to do the deinterlace for interlaced material. MP audio renderer requires also some extra CPU processing power when compared to normal MS renderer since it will resample the audio.

    Hi Tourettes,

Yesterday I reverted from MP 1.2 alpha back to 1.1.2.
The problems with the occasional stuttering have stopped since then. It could be the MP setting, but It could also be the fact I set inside the ATI CCC force refresh sync to "always", instead of let the program decide. My problems seems solved. :) its perfect now.

Hi Tourettes, not sure if you saw my post about dropped frames when using the new renderer only when watching ITV-HD (the 1920x1080 version), my card is an ATI 5550 which I think should be fine (it certainly only shows as being son 40% busy)... I'm also pretty sure that if I turn off the delay settings and use the new renderer then although I no longer get dropped frames I would say that lip sync is worse than when using the ATI renderer (again with no delay being set by me, no idea if the ATI renderer adds delays internally)... Wasn't sure if you confused my post with that from Jay_UK...

    Thanks

    Andy

What audio decoder you are using?

    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] WAVEFORMATEX - CheckMediaType
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nAvgBytesPerSec 0
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nBlockAlign 0
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nChannels 6
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] nSamplesPerSec 48000
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] wBitsPerSample 0
    04-01-2011 21:11:36.355 [ 11e0] wFormatTag 8193

At least it is wanting to use 0 bit audio format.
