    Hi Tourettes, i am using your mpaudiorenderer for some time now and it's working great. Just today i found out that a collection of Tom & Jerry DVD's are not giving any audio.
    My settings are just the basic ones but AC3encoding is enabled. If i select the directsound renderer i get sound. But with mpaudiorenderer nothing at all.
    The DVD audio is in AC3 1.0
    Any clue? Maybe i just have to enable some settings?

    Audio device doesn't support requested audio format. In general seems that mono is not supported at all in many devices (is it supported in any device?).

    07-01-2011 16:38:48.467 [ d78] WASAPIRenderer::InitAudioClient not supported (0x88890008)

    Since we dont currently support resampling in any form you should setup ffdshow as audio decoder and setup it to upmix the mono audio as stereo. It should cure the missing audio.

    Ok Tourettes, i've done so. I think you mean the mixer settings in ffdshow. This mixer was selected and set to stereo when i installed SAF but i had to disable this to get the AC3encoding to work and output 5.1 DD.
    If i enable this again, your correct that audio is working, but now AC3 encoding is not anymore.... :confused:

    It is possible to create profiles in ffdshow. Create a profile that is avtive only when the input stream has one channel and then enable the mixer only in that profile.

    Audiorender is working fine with video's for me, but with Live tv; i have to be sure to zap to a 5.1 channel en then i can zap back and forth to 2.0 channels; else it will stall, (if i start with a 2.0 channel; and then zap to a 5.1 channel)
    Using version 20; with latest SAF5 (ffdshow 3712), i completely reinstalled (fresh) the client's and server, with normal directsound; there is no problem.

    Code:

    Hello,
    I have done a lot of tests with various audio renderer (Realtek HD audio, MePo audio renderer and Reclock), with various dshowhelper.dll files (default one, the ones of this post) and I have the best results with the dll of the version 20 but with the Realtek HD audio renderer, not the MePo audio renderer... I'm happy with the results, the 3 lines (green, red and yellow) are really straight but I just would like to understand. Do you think it's normal and possible or do you think that I didn't do the tests correctly? Is it possible that your DLL version 20 works better with another renderer than the MePo one?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

    if I use MP audio renderer, I can't change the volume inside MP (win7). Is it a feature or bug?
