so in stats you can get objective informations about A/V drifting?

In stats it gives the difference between the two hardware clocks - which should be the drift for 1:1 material. For non 1:1 the drift will be increased by the bias amount. The number of adjustments made also has an effect as these slow or speed up the clock too, this number should be low (about 250 per hour or under) or it means that the refresh rate has been calculated incorrectly.

ok. imho that multiplier infomation would be display the maximun and minimun value since begining not the instant one. much usefully

Theoretically it wouldn't give any new information (it would tell only that the clock is flanky - not how much the clock has erratic behavior). We would need to know all the values from the whole timespan to be able to make some caculations dependig that data (and such wont fit into the screen :)).

I've done that quite a few times and it isn't fun :D. It does show up Excel's limitations very well.

Yep, but we cannot add those into the ! stats :p

    I have a question...

The only problem I have with video playback without the renderer from this thread is from TV - I have a very slight freeze ever 5 min or so..

Last night I went back to normal MePo stuff to test, and the freeze on live tv was there no matter what codec I use (CoreAVC, PDVD10, FFDShow DXVA or Microsoft.)

I tested a Bluray rip and that is flawless - no freezes whatsoever...

The renderer from this thread fixes my freeze with TV, but I don't get DTS sound any more from Bluray rips etc. Is this correct, or do I just have it configured incorrectly?

I'm confused, and I feel like I'm going round in circles now!!

By the way, with regards to the Mediaportal going 1/4 screen when the display is switched off (going through Onkyo) I believe it may be fixed in Windows 7 SP1, I am downloading the RC of SP1 now, and I will try it later to see if it resolves the issue..

My Marantz is out of order for a week maybe 2. So I've played a 42 minutes mkv h264/Ac3 with Ati HDMI directly on my plasma. Only 2 ch.
with MP audio renderer. (HWBasedRefClock=ON, WASAPIUseEventMode=ON). It was perfect.

    Hello.
I would like to make a report.
I think that there is something wrong with AC3 encoding in version 16.
Video is delayed from the start (maybe in the first second it's ok) and this delay is growing progressively.
In versions 14 and 15 AC3 encoding worked without problems.
I checked how version 16 behaves without AC3 encoding and in that case sync is ok (Hw vs system is permanently 1.0, ver 14 and 15 showed the same in that case).
Earlier when using MP audio renderer I always used AC3 encoding - ver. 14 showed 1.0000xxx values and ver. 15 showed 0.9999xxx values as Hw vs system but sync was very good.
My soundcard: Integrated Realtek ALC 662.
Attached jpg with ver. 16 stats after 1 or 2 minutes of playing with AC3 encoding on.

    Greetings.

I also have a problem with AC3 encoding in version 16 - the sound breaks up.

I have switched back to version 15 and all is fine.

By the way, I can confirm that Windows 7 SP1 does NOT fix the problem with Onkyo and mediaportal when the display device is switched off (off topic for this thread I know!)
