It now identified my tv card. Thanks for all the help & patience :)

Was unable to get it working yet.
Have attached an external antenna but unable to get radio nor tv.
Will experiment a bit. Think the radio/tv channels loaded

How can I instrucj MP to scan the bands (fm for radio & tv) ?

Now that MP Configuration recognises your TV card, you should be able to run Autotune in the Televison and Radio sections, to find all your TV and radio stations. I don't have an analog software TV card, but I assume that it is the same steps. When in Television > Capture Cards, select Edit, then you should see the Autotune tab. Select that then your Country/Region, then select Scan.

When the scan is finished, you can check in the TV Channels section that all the channels were found and that they are assigned to your card.

If you get TV without frame dropping/skipping, please tell me, because i can't get it to work...
    What CPU are you using?

What maximum CPU% do you see while watching TV?

What video decoders have you tried?

I've tested again, you can find the pastebin here http://mp.pastebin.com/702749 after last line in the log file MP hangs up without any message and i was unable to kill the process. The steps are the following:

    - Opened configurator.exe, selected Intervideo as decoder for television (audio and video)
    - Closed configurator.exe
    - Opened MP, i enter in My TV section
    - I can see the TV with some frame drops.. audio is out of sync
    - I pressed ESC key...
    - MP freezes, i kill the task.. the interface disappear but the task remains in the task list...

    Hi FidoBoy,

please do not use Project Mayhem as skin. Its highliy recommended to only use those which where delivered with RC4.

In best case only use BlueTwo for testing, this way we can exclude problems with the skin. BlueTwo is the most maintained!

Ok, now i've posted the log using BlueTwo skin, it happens the same... before using MP, i've opened the configurator and i get the 'unable the create graph..' message when editing the tv card.. this message is only showed some times, but not ever... Then i've opened MP and My TV section, the tv image freezes a lot and finally MP hangs up... here is the pastebin: http://mp.pastebin.com/703242

Same problem - TV card not recognised

    Hi folks,

I am experiencing a similar problem, in that my TV card is not ercognised. In the interest of not wasting anybody's time, I (blindly) followed the same directions, in that edited the contents of my CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file to replace the line ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_6f08107d&rev_ 05 with
    ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_6f05a0a0&rev_ 05.

Funnily enough the system still states that no card was found (hey, I *did* say 'blindly').

Being the mental giant that I am, I struggled with 'pastebin', however I think this is the problem child line(s) : EDIT : http://mp.pastebin.com/913861

PLease let me know if you require any additional information - please use small words, it's been a long day!

    Thanks in advance,

    Benno

PS I am happy to carry this on via e-mail should the need arise.
