MediaPortal fails to start after MicrosoftUpdate (1 Viewer)

Mediaportal fails to start after Microsoft Update KB973924 (visual C++ 2008) or KB973923 (visual C++ 2005).
Something appers to be changed in the XML handling and Mediaportal reports: missing root element in file ...\mediaportal.exe.conf and exits.

After uninstalling the updates everyting is back to normal. Not sure which one is responsible for the problem, both where installed and uninstalled at the same time.

I'm not at my HTPC at the moment so I can not get the logs, please let me know if they are needed.

Have attahed my Mediaportal.log file hope it an be of any help.

Hi,
Yeah - logs it's needed to see what it could be, i'm on Vista X64, SP2 with all updates & doesn't have that problem, but logs will tell something more.
