Hi CyberSimian

Now that I understand that the number of cards really means number of tuners I have reset the maximum free cards for recordings to 0 on the basis that I am very, very, very, extremely unlikely to run out of tuners for recordings or time shifts.

I took HTPCSourcer's advice about the time shift settings. I'm sure things should be much better now.

I'm a little surprised that someone else could edit your comments. Glad to know that we have everything clear now.
