mediaportal need help on how to display on my tv (1 Viewer)

hi am thinking of getting mediaportal for my media but need help how would I be able to display mediaportal and my media on my tv my computer and my tv are about 30 feet always from each other would I need a hdmi cable to hook up from pc to tv or some other cable need help please realy would like to use mediaportal but would like to watch my media on my tv

Hi and welcome oldschool,

Multiple ways possible. 30 feet is still in the range of HDMI, so a 30 feet HDMI cable should work.
Alternatively you can look @ HDMI extenders over CAT, like this:

I think the HDMI extender is a cheaper solution, and has 3x the range so you can use it over larger lengths (if needed) in the future, but you'll have to do some math on that

ok thanks Spragleknas I just install this skin here Streamed MP and now when I open mp and I go to my movies its saying no inport path how do I add the inport path

Hi.
Since you installed StreamedMP, you could be taking about MovingPictures (community plugin) or My Videos (core plugin).

Anyway, to view movie details, you need to set a path, ie "c:\My documents\My movies", weather it is MyVideos or Moving Pictures.
