Yes, that's correct. You run MediaPortal on the HP machine, and connect the HDMI from the HP Computer to your TV, and you should get the picture from the PC on the TV.

For a TEST - yes, only way to agree with HomeY more is to use a bigger font!!
For REAL - there is always the trade off between cost, function and aesthetics [wife/husban/partner/pets [they eat and/or crap on cables] - it's where you live and who you live with that may be the limiting factor : just giving oldschool one of a range of option:
