Seems about once a week, Mediaportal wil crash. It usually (not always) brings up a Windows XP 'not responding' sort of message. But TVServer is also dead which stops any qued recordings. The last time it happened was this Friday, August 12th. I got back from vacation today and noticed the Windows XP message on top of Mediaportal. Restarting Mediaportal restarted TVServer and it worked fine again. I've attached the logs along with a text file containing the contents of the Windows event logger message that happended that night.

Any help as to what to try would be much appreciated. :D

    Hi adagio

When you post logs, please use the watchdog so that we get the complete set of logs from MediaPortal and TV Server. It also grabs information from the system event log and DirectX (dxdiag) information. That extra information is critical in a situation like this. The procedure for using the watchdog after a crash is:
    1. Find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu.
    2. Start it.
    3. Choose option 3 "export all currently present logs".
    4. Step 3 will create a zip file that you can post.

Okay, with that said. I'm aware that you've just upgraded to 1.2.0rc. Please let us know if you continue to experience the problem with the release candidate. If you do, post logs as described above and we'll go from there.

    mm
    :)

Thanks again. I will save the above instructions and do a better job with the logs if it happens with 1.2 :D
