Thanks Iosub, you're the best.

What do you think of RC2 and SVN 15881? Any noticeable stability or performance improvements?

Thanks again.

Thanks, Iosub.

Unfortunately it seems that the replacement dlls break the music/radio functionality - the sound is OK but the display freezes.

Hi, Iosub!

It it possible for you to compile a version for the latest stable release (0.2.3.0). It would be really nice to have this "feature". As it is now, i have to start microsoft mediacenter 2005 before i startmediaportal, it works, but i dont feels like a stable version!

I've compiled Iosubs changes for Mediaportal 1.0 if anyone needs this functionality still. Extract the contents of the zip file into the MediaPortal directory.

It would be nice to make this an option in the MediaPortal configuration.

Hey markysoft,

great initiative!

Is this for a specific build, or basicly any Mediaportal 1.0?

(If the question is idiotic, it's because I haven't used MP a lot lately):D:D

It's just for the release version 1.0. I doubt it will work with any SVN releases. I'll try and compile the changes for 1.01 when that's released too.

I too have come back to MP after a while away, mostly for the music playing side of things as I can now play DRM files with the Winamp plugin.

Thanks Marky, any ini/xml files need editing for v1? I seem to recall that I needed to put a few lines into a config file with iosubs mod

Can anyone say whether these 2 MCE services MUST be stopped for MP's TV functionality to work properly? Specifically, I'm not able to tune any digital stations on my 2 cards even though I can do so from within MCE. I'm not sure if these services must be enabled or must be disabled for MP's TVServer to be able to access the cards properly.

I'm not talking about watching TV, I'm talking about the configuration setting within TVServer where you do the initial scanning of TV stations.

The complicating factor is that I'm trying out Windows 7 64-bit. So I don't know if this should work or not, at all. But eliminating one variable (disabling/enabling MCE services) is progress...

No, Kmare, I don't think you need to make any config file changes. I just made the changes that iosub highlighted a while ago, and it fools mediaportal into thinking the services are already stopped.

I didn't make any ini changes and it works fine for me.
