Would be nice to hear from other NVIDIA ION users is the dropped frames / stuttering issue bothering them also.

My system is an ASROck 330 ION HT. As stated before I only have the occasionally dropped frame, which mostly seems to happen when I have the Shift+1 graphs running (This is with the modified dll).

Rendering the stats screen texts is pretty GPU consuming, especially on low end GPUs. That can also cause dropped frames.

The new dshowhelper.dll (tested the first) seems to eliminate the stutter during video playback. This stuttering is/was very annoying, I always had to pause the video or skip backwards/forward to get a fluid playback. Hopefully this problem will now be solved. I will do more testing. :)

On a first test no more stutter with the new dshowhelper.dll.
But have to make further tests to be sure.

I now can report that I had no stutter after starting and restarting dozens of videos. Even after refreshrate changes.

The video playback is fluid like in XBMC. Nice! :)

MP will crash if you jump around the timeshift buffer excessively, particularly if seeking to the beginning or end.

I have tested some more, and I also get crashes when skipping back and forth, not only from channel change (does channel change make it do a skip to the end behind the scenes?). It doesn't happen always, but maybe 1 out of 5 times.

I am running multiseat so it could be related to the changes to make skpping work reliably in multiseat.

    Hi everyone,
I just want to report a small cosmetic issue that has been present for some time and should not be in RC1
The date and time info on My TV screen move outside the screen area as soon as the TV is switched on. When it is swithched off again the info is still out of place. Need to go to another screen and come back to fix it.

My TV is 1080i (maybe this helps)...

    :D

My guess is that you run VMR9 as renderer, correct? I have seen stuff like this on Windows 7 when using VMR9. Try EVR. If that's not the case, the I don't know...

    @ tourettes,
Yeah correct; connected this svn to my other server to rule some things out (but was only @ last log :) ), but it's not only nvidia ion; also an ati HD3200 system as shown in logs, but then again; my other nvidia 9400 onboard and ati HD4200 onboard system are working fine ;(
Tried aswell the MS codec, MPC, but mostly used the PDVD9 Video decoder to run; all resulting the same; but like i posted an recording playing in MPC-HC running steady @ 50fps at the same asrock ion330 and hd3200 system
