Black screen

While going from a HDTV channel to another HDTV channel the screen went black. I was not able to go back to the main menu (only black screen). To go back to normal I had to close MediaPortal with the alt+F4 key command. Never had this with previous SVN builds.

There are lot of DirectX errors in the MediaPortal.log file, starting at 2008-10-05 13:10:56.509600. The attached evr.log contains a lot of ProcessOutput failed errors.

I still have the standby problem: MP won't go into suspend more than one time. Reproduction:
1. Enable PowerScheduler in both server and client. Both set to Forced Shutdown
2. Start MP
3. Press standby -> PC suspends
4. Press resume -> PC resumes. MP continues to work
5. Press standby again -> nothing happens.

Second problem: Somehow TVServer can't tune to any non FTA channels anymore. For this build I uninstalled TVServer and dropped the database/rescanned channels. Althought it finds all channels, I see things like this in my log:

It did work before (build before last weekly is the one I installed last) and when I start a different TV viewer (like DVBViewer) I CAN see all channels (even HD). So nothing wrong with my hardware IMHO...

Also I noticed that it doesn't seem to pick up any EPG data, not even for the FTA channels.

Hello,

I have been using the SVN's after gamejester joined the Dev team

I have the program set so that it starts on boot and it has been crashing 1 out of 2 times as soon as it loads.

Attached are the logs of the last crash... Please have a look to see if we can stop this, because it is very frustratitng.

Thanks for your efforts, I will continue to use the SVN's and test any issues.

i have found a bug, if the sound option "preferred AC3" is set, MP ignore this or don't know what to do.
I have to change the audio stream manually to AC3.

I get the error below when using this TvServer svn-release. I checked the install package and wintv-ci.xml does not seem to be there. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me.

Startup:

Cannto confirm, loads up in the same time as previously. In a quick check to SVN change log there shouldnt be anything that causes the slow startup.

Please try again with the previous SVN version, maybe there is something in the system that is causing the slowdown (like broken virus scanner).

On my Office PC


Starting up MP when computer is already running, varies between 05 and 15 seconds.

Starting computer from cold, with MP set to Autostart on Windows startup;

Total Time 2 minutes 46 seconds, includes 58 seconds for MP startup. Only tried this once, I think this was an example of a slower time, depends how long it takes to start the TV Server.

Also going in and out of Hibernation seems to be working well, even without assistance, however, have not tried it on my HTPC yet.
