This is an issue I have with the 1.1.0 beta and this snapshot, which I installed hoping for a fix. Alas the issue is still there.

I have what can only be described as micro stutters when viewing content in EVR mode (Aero on). When I do Shift ! I constantly have a jitter of -3 or something else, with occasional spikes.

Using VMR9, I have 0 jitter, and no micro stutter. I can also watch the same file in MPC-HC with EVR and get no problems.

It's probably just me, but on 2 different systems, I get MediaPortal to completely freeze on FLV file playback if I repeatedly press the MORE button on my MCE remote to zoom/stretch the videos. Both systems are frozen - requires complete shutdown - cannot get task manager running. This doesn't happen on any other video type - only FLVs. Running both ATI & Nvidia.

Can someone try this and let me know if it works OK for them?

Glad I'm not alone.

It's damn annoying because using VMR9 breaks nearly everything for the StreamMP skin after viewing a file.

maybe it's related to ati ? :confused:

my previous config had an ati 2600xt and also had the problem live tv is stuttering/freezing/hicking sometimes and that recordings hickup a lot, resulting the playback's beeing stopped and returning me to the recordings list.

when I replay the recording it ISN'T freezing at the same point tho, so the file itself is not corrupted. also tried to close ALL my systemtray tools like logitech setpoint, speedfan, ati ccc, touchmon, logmein, etc, but it didn't help.

sigh, will also buy me a nvidia card to see if it fixes the problems.

as attachment some more logging while try'ing to play a recording last night (crashed for like 4 times within 30 minutes or something), but the problem is, when MediaPortal recording playback "crashes", the logfiles are beeing renamed as well and creates new logging, so the logging is again not complete :(

will focus now on MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-11-30-2009 21-44h - Revision:24281 to see if it's still there.

    hmmm indeed, problem also occurs with the 2009.11.30 svn, bleh, almost giving up, running vmr9 now also for the moment, the problem's driving me crazy )(!*@&
