Installed the new SVN (upgraded from previous SVN). Now EPG doesn't work properly (I'm using xmltv and it seems to import fine) - When clicking the OK button, I can see the program showing now and next program, but the EPG doesn't show anything :( (this worked fine in the previous SVN). See screenshots attached.

Also, MP tends to crash once in a while when I press the STOP button to stop TV from the main menu (log file attached). I then need to kill MediaPortal using Task manager, restart and it works again.

(I'm Using IPTV, and running the TV Server as a seperate PC)

Regards

My MP hangs/freezes (hard, not always possible to bring task manager window up) the very same way when stopping live TV while at home/main menu. And my log also ends at the same point, see attached file.

But the big problem is that my computer now does not wake up (from standby, using power scheduler) for recordings. Not one single time. I've missed all scheduled recordings after this upgrade. Recording with computer/MP already running works fine. I just can't understand that nobody else seems to have this problem? I kept my previous config (including recording schedules) through SVN upgrade, could that cause a problem with wakeup?
I'm still surprised noone seems to experience the same wakeup problem I've got with this SVN. I've now tried deleting and replacing all old recording schedules but the computer still does not wake up by itself. Recording works perfectly fine if I leave it running. Automatic standby/manual wakeup also works in any other aspect.

A few other problems:

1) Timeline handling. When I choose to play a recorded program from it's "now" point (still during recording), skipping backwards ("rewinding") is not possible. If I play the program from start instead, skipping forward through the entire program until "now" works fine.

2) Program picture thumbnails from previous recordings sticks to new recordings.

I've got a completely clean install, including databases/config settings, directly upgraded to this SVN from base Beta version.

    2) Program picture thumbnails from previous recordings sticks to new recordings.

Check how your recordings are named (the actual file + the xml-file). If the are name "unknown4.ts" and "unknown4.xml" then the thumbs will be wrong at some point.

If they are named wrong, check how movies and episode naming is set up in TV-Server!

You are right, I have experienced the same problem but in all revisions till today. But it's not "not possible" as hitting several times the rewind button causes to update the total lenght of actual recording and you're able to skip. Therefore it works kinda flumsy and not nice for user.

    All,

if you have issues with EVR and dropped frames, please provide all details in this thread:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-1-0-beta-1-454/problems-dropping-frames-evr-74360/#post544240

Many people seems to have issues with that lately but the infos are spread over many threads.

Sorry for asking, but how do I know that the behaviour I'm experiencing is related to dropped frames?

    Thanks
    Robby

Just have a look into your EVR log (Windows Vista: ProgramData --> MP dir --> logs --> EVR.log) and check it from dropped frames.
I am not an expert on this but I hope that we learn something from the devs in the thread I opened.
    ;)

Thanks! Files were named "unknown...", exactly as you guessed. The Wiki doesn't mention this and (my) previous MP versions did not require any configuration at this point. On the other hand, those versions did not provide recorded program thumbnails at all...

I just hope the db isn't already screwed up beyond repair. One or two test recordings will tell.

I checked the behaviour and found that grabbing EPG during recording or timeshifting crashes the server with the following error:

I'm getting a TV server crash if a recording ends while TS Server is scanning the EPG from that recording and with a different error

The database should be ok, it's just the filenaming that's gone wrong. As far as I recall, this is because one of the SVN's a couple of months ago, didn't have a default naming of movies and series. This is controlled un TV-Server Config under "Recording" -> "Custom paths and filenames".

Sorry to chime in with more problems, but I can't really help it:
Using IPTV with TvServer. Server likes to drop packets from UDP stream resulting in heavy artifacts being drawn.
I've bugged the forums with this problem for a while now thinking it was my integrated video card, but SW codecs exhibit the same problem. Also the timeshift .ts file contains artifacts / missing packets as well even if started from TV server configuration completely eliminating decoders (but not the demuxer, according to TV service log).

Both 1.1. beta and this SVN exhibit this problem.
Logs show nothing at all about these artifacts. Just ordinary connect to stream, start timeshift, end timeshift - nothing inbetween.

Wrote a bit more in this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-codecs-completely-confused-73861/#post544703

The timeshift disk is an Intel X-25 80GB SSD so I think it's plenty fast for this.

Of course any further info will be provided if needed.

I noticed that with the new tsreader some mp recordings (1080i h264 hdtv dvb-t) played at 60fps even though they were PAL. Went back to old tsreader (from 1.1 beta) and it seems fine.
