I am running TV Server on XP and the only issue I find there at the moment is that EPG is not running when another TV Card is recording or timeshifting. It starts when timeshifting stops. Attached are the TV Server Logs for details.

This is b design. Idle EPG grabber is only active when nothing else is ongoing in the server side. You can enable dthe timeshifting EPG grabber to be able to grab teh EPG data while watching tv.

Thank you tourettes, would love if TV Server could grab DVB EPG on available inputs even if another input is busy. In my case I have 2 * DVB-T, 3 * Analog and 1 * DVB-S. Would like the server to grab EPG from DVB-T and DVB-S even if I am timeshifting a channel on Analog input.

    Hi,

Thanks for this christmas present. :)

Installed the SVN last night (multiseat) and TV does not work on the HTPC. On the server where the TV-card is present the TV works although the channel change is a bit slower than previous versions. On the HTPC I get the "Connection to TV server lost" after trying to turn on the TV. If I use the host name instead of the IP adress in the configuration I can't get a connection at all, even though windows can access shares using the host name.

I will try to figure this out and post a real post with attached logs etc. if necessary. I am just curious if I missed anything since everyone else got the TV feature working, or perhaps you guys are on singleseat's installations?

This may be the same problem I had. The new install did not correctly update the Windows firewall entries to allow MySQL and onther MP stuff through (see post just above). To test - Try turning the firewall off on the TVServer machine.

    Hi there,

Many thanks to the Devs/testers/and everyone involved with making MP such a fantastic product - Happy Xmas :D

    My setup:

    W7x64
    SAF
    DXVA enabled

Following on from previous posts about this SVN, I can confirm I also have problems with:

Channel logo not instantly updating on the OSD when channel +/-. The channel details are updated on the OSD, but the logo only seems to refresh at the very end when the OSD closes.

Intermittent channel stuttering/freezing - if I change channel and then back again, it works fine. I have tried it with both "dont drop discontinued packets..." enabled and disabled - It seems that MP client either dumps, or I get the stuttering/freezing of the channel.

    Many thanks,

    J.

    Hello Everyone -

I am interested in running a version of MP 1.1.0 on Windows 7/32bit. I have seen a bunch of issues with tv, but I dont use MP for live TV. Is this SVN "stable enough" to use for x264 movies, Internet Streamed Radio, & Music? (and the occasional Sudoku game :))

I am currently on 1.0.2 with Vista32, and 24hz autoswitch is very important to me.

    Thanks for any opinions -

    Joe

Maybe it is my memory that is playing a trick on me, but I can't for the life of it find where to enable/disable subtitles when playing live TV or something recorded. If I enable DVB Subtitles and Teletext subtitles in the config program, the subtitles work find, but I seem to have no control over them any more, like turning them of for audiolangages I know. I have a distinct memory of having subtitle right click menu options in the previous MediaPortal version (SVN from November). Has something changed or am I doing something wrong here?

A big one and two small ones.
    2) When trying to update the video database from selected shares (only one) in MP Config it crashes with a memory exception when it reaches about the 600th media file (yes I know - a lot in a single share - but they are in seperate folders!). No errors in the logs. Memory footprint of the process grows constantly until it pops.

Have the exact same problem and have had it for every MP version for as long as I can remember. Seems like it has to do with the number of recordings/files in the folder.

Have to say that the 12/24 svn is the best ever. Almost zero issues and it's waking up for recordings from s3 sleep for the first time (win7 64) since the beta came out.
I've had to have sleep disabled for months now.

The only issues I have is a tiny amount of what I think is called "micro-stuttering" in live TV or playback. About every second or two a tiny stutter in the video. Audio stays smooth. And the stutter is so brief that I barely can see it anymore.

For some reason My Movies won't start a dvd iso in TMT3 properly, but the same movie works correctly once the iso is loaded and I playback from DVD playback.

The other is being unable to connect any client to the server/single-seat install. Which I think is an IP issue with Win7, not MP. I'm going to try setting a static IP and DNS address next on that one. Maybe turn off firewall again as well.
    Thanks again!

As reported earlier I sometimes get MP freeze.

Now I had expected 2 BSOD when coming out of standby. I didn't gget this before. Here are the logs and a minidump.

    thx in advance

Please test with same SVN revision on server and client (most likely TsReader only issue, but still...). Also please test with vanilla SVN code.

2009-12-27 21:37:20.301215 [ERROR][MPMain]: TvPlugin and TvServer don't have the same version.
    TvServer Version: 1.0.4.24585

Also please note that disabling RTSP in multiseat is not officially supported. If the issue happens as well with the vanilla SVn build, then please repost the logs.
