in the previous and this SVN i am not able to use a UNC path \\server\recordings for my tvserver recordings. When I use a local path, recording works like a charm.

in tswriter logfile it shows: Recorder:unable to create file:'\\Server\Recorded TV\SBS 6 Sport_ PDC World Championship Darts - SBS 6 - 2010-01-01.ts' 5

i also tried to modify the recordings-location to recordedtv (without the space), and got the same issue.
Is this a bug, or am i missing something?

Hi Domax,

I had the same behaviour and fixed it by changing the way the tvservice interacts with the system. When you change the service to start with a user account (e.g. administrator) it will be able to interact with the UNC path as you expect. You can change this in the windows administrator tool - services.

sorry for the little amount of information, my kids are currently using MediaPortal to watch a movie and I have just migrated my last Windows machine to Linux, so have no option to look at to further specify.

Hello, thanks for this SVN build. I like the new icons!

I found a big problem with my setup after installing this one. Its a single seat and it crashes every time when I stop a *.ts file.
(live TV or already recorded ones)

But the workaround is simple. I found a message in this thread saying:

MediaPortal Config -> TV Client -> use host name not IP adress
MediaPortal TV Server Config -> TV Servers use IP adress

That fixed the issue!
Every former release worked with 127.0.0.1 as hostname.

I thought lets write it down again, maybe it will help an other member.

Well, I'm using it with a separate server for TV-Server and this doest resolve my problem. MP generates an error when stopping a recorded-TV

This issue is covered by mantis 2595 for which we have a solution that is not yet in SVN, but soon will be. Mantis 2599 will also be resolved by this fix.

Hi,

found a big one and a small one:

Big first: DVB-S and Analog Radio seems to be totally broken since previous SVN Tunning a DVB-S Radio channel results in a black screen for 1-2 Seconds, then back again in MP and nothing happens!? Doing that time and again results in error dialogs saying "unknown error" and finally in MP freezing As I can remember, radio was working 2 SVNs ago, not perfect but at least radio stations could be tuned.

And the small one: ticking the "visible in guide" checkbox in a grouped channel, seems not to be saved in the TV-Server Config until you check the checkbox then go back to the "all channels"(main) Tab and then close the TVServer Config!?!

PS: Concerning the "visible in Guide" option in the TV-Service, it is totally ignored by MPs Radio Channel Overview !

I can't switch channels, first black screen appears and than last picture from last channel, I have to press Stop button and then change channel via guide.
For HDTV works PDVD9 only (SAF), CoreAVC, MPC, ffdshow don't work.

I am not sure since which SVN this is happening, but when resizing MP (drag the window bigger / smaller) when playing TV the MP screen turns black. Exiting MP is only solution. Also minimizing to taskbar and restoring has this effect.

You cannot resize MP, whilst video is playing and never could, this is a limitation that MP2 overcomes when it is released, please stop any video playback and then resize and start video again.

That not true, at least until beta 1 you could resize MP. One of the SVN's after that broke it. The only thing that never worked is switching between window and fullscreen mode. I hope it can still work as before, because when i accidentally click too many times on MP it goes to minimized (or can this be disabled?) and then i lose my timeshiftbuffer.

EDIT: I did some more research: the last SVN i have that works is 24404. The following SVN i have is 24446, and that one does not work.

Is this considered a bug or not?

It is considered not fixable in MP1.
