More about MediaPortal Client Crash when changing channel.
TV Server running on Windows XP, Client running on Windows 7 x64.
Changed channel to RUV and I get an Windows error that the program has stopped but it starts Live TV anyway with the error notification on top.

Failed Recording on TV Server

The .ts file is unplayable.
Attached are the logs from the TV Server that is running on Windows XP.
Here (http://www.andans.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/MerryMadagascar.zip) is 1.55GB file containing the .ts and .xml files.

If I go and start channel on DVB-T card everything works fine and after that I can change the channel to "Stöð 2"

Restore from tray in Vista results in black screen with sound.
I can get screen back if I enter windowed mode.
Edit: only in EVR, not in VMR9

I can reproduce it with movies as well, no need to use tv. Most likely related to 0002580: MediaPortal wont survive from GPU driver crash under Windows 7 / Vista - MediaPortal Bugtracker as it has similar behavior when resuming form a GPU crash.

OK, Did you notice that you can get the screen back when entering windowed mode?


Also: I get frozen MP when TVOSD.xml (I think) dissappears most of the times. I might just happen to move the mouse, and grrr...

Hello MP Community,
if i enable the Dynamic refresh rate and disable the three points on the botton of my Text then
will MP change the refresh rate and dont play the selected content.
MP goes black.

MP Configuration - > Codec & Renderer -> Tab Video Renderer
get black screen if disable

- use for playback...
- use exclusiv mode...
- use nonsquare...

maybe its better MP write a warn message to the user by this konstalation

Did you get anywhere on your network problem? I have the same issue but can't make any progress resolving it. My server is Vista 32 on 192.168.2.3/255.255.0.0, my client is Vista 64 on 192.168.3.3/255.255.0.0. All has been well but tonight I upgraded to the latest snapshot (24553). All works well on the server and I can watch TV, but my client keeps asking me to specify an IP address for the server. In explorer I can navigate to the server shares from the client. I had been running the link on port 1554 however I can not find anywhere in the client to put a port number (other than on the IP address 192.168.2.3:1554, but this doesn't work), so I changed the port back to the default 554 on the server, but even after rebooting both ends, I still can not get the client to talk to the server. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

I also found out that if I leave the Error Notification message I can use MediaPortal and change channels without any problems.
