    Hi,

I am working on a new feature. It is named "MediaPortal TV Cloud".

    How it works:
    1. You connect your device to the Google cloud server and your login informations of MPExtended will be uploaded to the cloud (passwords are encoded).
    2. If it is done you will be able to list others MPExtended and connect to watch any channels.
    3. All other modules like Movies, Music, Pictures, Recordings and Schedules will be disable for protect privacy.
    4. Your login informations won't be displayed or saved on the guest devices.
    5. You can unshare your servers if you want but in that case you can not connect to others of course.

I need some pro MPTvScheduler users who can help me in the testing.

    Thx.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea ....
I asume that this could bring a lot of trouble if we are sharing encrypted channels with people that don't ha a subscription for thoose.
Also sharing channels from one country with poeple in another country cold bring trouble. It might be possible that the TV station has only the right to show the content in it's own country.

    What is the difference from
    1. if I watch my paid channel in your home
    2. if you watch my paid channel in your home
    3. if you and I watch my paid channel in your home (I am your guest ;))
Btw I can filter the shared channels by FTA flag. ;)

I'm not a layer, just an engineer. Because of this I have written "could" not "will" ;-)
If all of this happens into my house, this might not be a problem. I have thought about worldwide access via Internet

How is this new feature different from the illegal card sharing method? I'm not a lawyer too, but to me it sounds a lot like a card sharing. Even if you allow only FTA channels, some content is still copyright and you can't make it just worldwide available.

I can filter the list by device locale/country so US users can only see the US servers.

Still, the goal of this feature is to share a channel from one user to another - card sharing ;)
