You can test the wakeup function with windows task scheduler. Create a new task and check the option to resume the system to Run this task. If your system wake up, the problem is related to MediaPortal, if not, your BIOS is responsible.

I've found a solution for me:
I have installed Powerscheduler ++ and konfigured it to wake up for various scenarios. But also kunfiguret it that Windows handles the standby.

This seems to work until now. I have to test this now for a wile.
