This is crashing out while loading the mediastream fonts though we have no problems with this but running Win7 O/S, though I doubt the O/S is the problem.

What is the font setting you chose during installation default or large?

I am sorry to say I have no instant answer to this one, have only heard about this once before and we never managed to find a soloution.

    Sorry

Maybe since this error call stack mentions DirectX you can try first installing the latest version.

did something change so radical in 1.2.0 i mean is it skin related after all or maybe i should post in a different section of the forum

    thx again.

    Hi papas,

I dont think this is 1.2 related, I woul like to eliminate the actual fonts. Attached is a fonts.xml file that uses std Arial fonts - will make the skin look a little wierd if works.

Can you please copy the attached file into your skin directory, would save the the current one somewhere safe and then make sure you clear the skin cache (can be done from the editor), and let us know if the problem still exists.

    Thanks

with the xml that you posted now mediaportal starts fine!!

are the fonts corrupted or something?
ill try removing them from the windows folder and installing them again and see if that works

AW: Mediaportal will not start with StreamedMP

    Hey trevor,

thank for your answer. I think this is an OperationSystem Issue. On my Windows7 Test Client everything is working.
But on my HTPC with WindowsXP it wont start.

I tried your font.xml and now MediaPortal ist starting and i can do everything like before. Your fonts.xml
    fixed this issue.

    Thanks

Is your hardware identical? Because you cant rule out things like graphics card hardware and drivers unless they are the same.
