So what ripping software would be used if you remove DVDFab? AnyDVD? But you have to pay for Anydvd right?

I haven't used this plugin yet... would like to use it for AudioCDs but I've always used EAC because you'll get superb results. I now realize DBPowerAmp is at this moment just as good although EAC is still better for damaged cds.

So I wonder wich engine does this plugin use?

I've just skinned this plugin for BleazleWide (I'll upload it as an "upgrade" in a few days):

bleazle-albums-temporary-picture396-copy-ms.jpg

I've got a couple of questions/comments regarding the plugin:

1. When I rip music CDs I get a CD cover but when I open the CD in MyMusic I don't get thumbs for each track. Pic one below shows a CD which was ripped in Windows and Pic 2 shows a CD ripped using Media Slayer. Is there a setting I can change or is that just the way it is?

2. I can rip DVDs to ISO but not to AVI using Mencoder :( I get the same errors as previously mentioned in this thread telling me I haven't configured the plugin even though I have  Unfortunately this is a dealbreaker for me so I guess I'll have to stick with ImToo DVD Ripper for now.

Cheers

DVD43 is free online encoder. It seems that DVDFab support can't be removed according to poll. Engine? Raw data reading from disc and then encoding to selected format via external encoders. So you can update those if needed (can be found from MP root).

    1. Seen this also and is all about caching I think. Go back and then again to Music and all thumbs are there - or something like that, you can figure it out.

    2. Configuration message is a bug and correction can be found couple of pages back. There is test version in one post. Mencoder problem is disc dependant somehow (mastering error maybe). I finally found one disc which is totally messing up things. So all of you who has problems with mencoder can you try what this outputs in command prompt:

mplayer dvd:// -dvd-device e: -identify -ss 00:10:00 -frames 20 -vf cropdetect -vo null -nosound

change e: with your drive letter first. When working should be like this:

    Code:
    D:\mencoder>mplayer dvd:// -dvd-device e:\ -identify -ss 00:10:00 -frames 20 -vf
     cropdetect -vo null -nosound
    MPlayer Sherpya-SVN-r29280-4.5.0 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team

Does this plugin work with 1.0.2 yet? I installed the plugin but the core.dll / configuration.exe / windowplugins.dll are all older and now configuration.exe is crashing.

    -Manfred- great plugin!

Where can I get the sources?

    Thanks!

I know that they should be in SF and maybe someday after clean up they will. Until then if you are willing to play with messy code I can send it.

Uhmm. File name doesn't ring a bell at all? Those are only for MP 1.0! Some of the corrections are already inbuild to 1.0.2 and rest is coming in 1.1.0.

Here is new test version for mencoder. Problem was that first title was always selected no matter what was the main title and that messed it up. Also configuration problem fixed. This has also M$ media db query for title - don't know how well it works. You can also store movies now to separate folders - see plugin configuration.

    Please test and comment.

OK, I understand. I see that the Virtual Drive parts are in there already - it seems like the only issues are no cover art for .ISO files and no hiding of the .ISO extension. Is this coming to 1.1.0 or is there anything to do about it now?

Put .iso to accepted movie extensions then MP will show cover and hide the .iso part.

This may be a silly question - but is MediaSlayer compatible with the MovingPictures plugin? The reason I ask is because I get the impression the MovingPictures uses a seperate database to MediaPortals Movie database...?
