    #YEAR perhaps would be nice?!

    Next version will have this.

Pretty awesome; not having the ability to rip to flac would have killed mediaportal's usefulness to me, so I am very glad to see this plugin, as I very much like mp itself.

I have one request however; would it be possible to make the tags applied to the files user-editable? The first album I tried to rip had no results in the freedb database, and as such as added as unknown artist-unknown album, etc. This really is not sufficcient for my purposes. I can edit the tags later in another program, but for an htpc I'd really like to keep everything confined to mediaportal if possible. Just being able to edit album title, artist, and track titles would be good enough, though I'd like to be able to edit year and genre too. (Album art would need to be refreshed after an edit, too.)

Not sure if this is completely realistic but it seems like it shouldn't be too hard to just pop up a box to edit the information in if you click the text, or something.

Thanks for taking the time to make this plugin to all involved; it has made mediaportal much more useful to me. :]

Let me see how this can be efficiently done. Using remote only this is not an option I think.

    Hi @ all!

    I don't know what i can do,...

Yesturday MediaSlayer works up to step 2. When it try to start step 2 It gives an error and Mediaportal closed.
Today MediaSlayer braces directly and gives the Error #1 Mencoder failed :-(

I attached my Log and hope someone could help me!!!

Way too old mencoder. Your version is from year 2006  See first post for download link.

Awesome; that lack of functionality wasn't a game ender for me but having it would be awesome.

I didn't really expect to be able to do it with just the remote.. if you can work a way to do that it'd be really cool but honestly I just want to be able to use a keyboard to type the stuff in :p

The system I'm making essence going to replace a 300 CD changer that just has a ps/2 port on the front, so using a keyboard isn't a foreign concept to me. Also, many people get bluetooth keyboards for systems like this - I'm considering that myself in the future.

Glad to hear it's in consideration; freedb is awesome but it just doesn't always work.

    :D

    Hi Manfred

I have installed your plugin and it works great, however I would prefer not to store my DVDs in iso format, I would prefer just a backup of the disk in VIDEO_TS folder format. This is the way I have all my other DVDs stored. Is there any way to to export simply to Drive\Movies\[Movie Name] folder\VIDEO_TS.

In the past I have always used DVD Shrink to do this, but would much prefer to integrate this with MP.

    Thanks
    Phil

Good that mencoder method is working now. Did you follow the instructions given on page back? Any points missed or something to correct there? I will put that on first page then.

Can you post also MediaPortal.xml so I can see your settings. Never crossed this kind of problem with audio CD.

    Cheers,
    /m

In the setup of the program, if we have DVDFab, is it asking fora DVDfab.iso file for program execution or am I just totally confused.

I have DVDFab installed but not sure what to put in the DVD config tab in the iso field.

    Any Help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

Hey, thanks for all your great work.

I have found a problem which may be the fault of media portal and the graphics driver itself, but I can only make it appear when using MediaSlayer and mencoder.

If I switch the TV off or change the channel while ripping, media portal goes black and locks up till the render pass is done. When it's done it crashes before the second pass is started. I can only guess that the blacking issue has to do with HDCP or something being lost when the TV channel is changed.

Just wondering if anyone here has had similar issues and has fixed it. I have no problem watching another movie while it's ripping in the background. I just can't turn the TV off (or on for that matter).

/EDIT: Quick edit with updated info. The screen goes black and media portal will lock up the process (one core anyway), regardless if using mencoder or using internal decrypter.

is it possible to have this working with never versions of dvdfab than 5.0.9.0 ?

Edit: I got version 5.0.9.0 of dvdfab installed it seems to work until the "start" i.e the plugin doesnt seem to send the "start command to dvdfab all other commands seem ok as i can see dvdfab load up and go through the various windows automatically until the last step .... (start)
    any idea's?
