Hello pilehave!

Big for your great skin! I have instaaled it with the mpi - installer, and it seems, that the skin works great on my old TV (720x576)! Bot now i like to load the zip-file, to get the "readme.txt" but the download is very, very slow. Take a look:



Would you please be so kind, to upload the "Readme.txt" to the board?

maybe its because im in dk as the server hosting the file

hey i found a small bug in the skin. it doesn't show infomation on an on going movie or tvserie...

Well, now i have read the "readme.txt", but there are still two more questiona: Is it possible to edit the BasicHome-screen and how can i change the Backgound- Images in the Home-Menu?

helios61. mediastream by pilehaven dont use the basichome. if you go to configuration -> plugins -> mediastream -> config, you can make your own menu.
there is also a drop down box in it that allows what background you will use.

But in the "drop down box" there are only a few backgrounds! Is it possible to add own pictures as background?

Problem 1 is explained in the first post of this thread

Yes, I see, butso far the message stays there. I have put

<version>1.0.0.0 RC4</version>

in there. Did I do it wrong?

Problem 2 is easy, use the menu-editor in MP Config -> Plugins -> MediaStream and use "Show only home-modules" instead of the "Show all modules"

Ha that helped! I have some questions though. When I select the TVgemist entries in your list, I get an error that not everything is complete?
Also, when selecting 'moving pictures' in the main MP screen, the text disappears. Maybe a little bug.

Also, is it normal that there is no background picture in the home screen? I have selected one in the config but it doesn't show.

the streamedmp also crashes now after i installed this

That would be because they share the same fonts.

Pilehave, are the fonts corrupt...or is it the MPI can't handle installing fonts correctly? Might be an idea to remove the package available from download until resolved.

Might be worth testing on a clean system, after installing the MPI with the Fonts confirm if they get installed correctly by checking if:

1. All 3 fonts exist in directory
2. They are all defined in the registry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts

I just checked, and here on my Vista they don't get installed. On my XP machine they got installed, but are corrupted. So much for the easy MPI way

Yeah, but I really don't know how to get that info there. Using the ways I thought was the right results in blank strings (ie, #Play.Current.Title = blank title)

Works fine with built-in "My Videos".

Anyone care to comment?

I'll do an update of the plugin to allow for your own backgrounds in a specific folder. Shouldn't be too hard
