Wide Banners. I know its been answered in the past with a download tvseries.xml file, but I would like to switch back to the wide banner view. I changed the tvseries.skinsettings.xml to widebanners. It works fine, but my problem is it isn't filling up the screen with the banners. It only lists 6 banners at a time. I was just going to replace tvseries.xml from a past post, but when looking at it closer it is very different that the current tvseries.xml. I don't want to screw anything up by replacing it. Does anyone know what I need to change in tvseries.xml to get the desired full screen of widebanners? Thanks for the help.

Look near the bottom of TVSeries.xml where you have the facadeview.

There you see listcontrol (subtype album) and thumbnailpanel. The height of these controls are the knobs you want to turn :)

Thanks for the great work! A few questiosn though.

Hi, and thanks again - after having tried many skins I believe that this one is just fantastic and looks very professional. I was also surprised how fast it is as compared to e.g. XFace...

    Anyway a few issues:

    1. I think the menu width is not enough in some situation. I have updated a bit files DialogMenu.xml and DialogSelect.xml and it looks fine to me as I used streamed_dialog_background3.png and icreased withd up to 600 px.

    2. My wife can not recognize the color difference beween "fresh" and already watched movies. Where can I change a color of already watched movies (currently - dark blue, and I would prefer dark gray)?

    3. I have found that I can not add to the main menu anything except Settings, Plugins, Video, Radio, DVD, and Music. I tried to add Wikipedia and Last.FM. Then a new menu item is shown up and looks fine until it is not selected - when selected the text label disappeares (usually text should become in a larger font).

    4. After installing a skin I have noticed new plugins available: Watch menu, Games menu and Extended menu. Are they coming with a skin? Thez seem to be not configurable and I have no clue how to deal with them. Could you please give me an avdvice?

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Sens_2002

    PS I'm on v 0.13

    1. To some extend I agree with you. I think at some point I'll have to make the context-menu wider.

    2. Are we talking "Moving Pictures" plugin here? Or the built-in Video-plugin?

    3. This is probably because the text is "too long". Now, I know that the text probably is not that long, but when the text is wider than the label it won't show. Last.FM default text is "Last.fm Radio". Cut the "Radio" and it will fit, or you could edit the fonts.xml to make the font smaller.

    4. The plugins came with Monochrome and Indigo and are non-configurable. But, you are free to edit the XML-files and put the items you want there. The need for plugins are an ufortunate mishap of the way MP was built, but I can live with it. You need a plugin to load XML-files. It's actually that simple :)

Oh! Thanks a million! A trick with short names in the menu worked!
About color of watched movies - I use built-in video plugin so far.
    Cheers

Thanks for the help. I had to change some of the POS Y parts to get it to not overlap the info at the bottom of the screen. After all that it looks very nice. Another question. If I want to switch back to filmstrip view, will the changes I made cause problems with the way that is displayed? Thanks again.

The changes (I don't know which?) shouldn't affect filmstrip since this is in a different control. It should be easy to test, just edit TVSeries.SkinSettings.xml and try and change <series layout="WideBanners"> to <series layout="Filmstrip">
