And i still get: 2015-02-13 22:54:13,747] [Error ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - PS: Cannot connect to local tvservice to load settings
also i did another WatchDog, in debug
This time by only starting up mePo and then shutting down..
And it also shows: PS: Cannot connect to local tvservice to load settings
Reinstall is ok, it's setting up everything that normally takes time
That's why it would be nice if I could keep the configurations somehow, so I can do the clean install, and just restore the settings.
I know I can restore the db's containing movies / series and music.
There is a Backup plugin from huha, do a quick search in the forum.
Without this I would propose that you simply export your channels and schedules (see "Import/Export in TV Server config), as this is the time-consuming part. All the other settings are a matter of a few minutes. The MovPic, music and tvseries databases can easily be saved. Rename the complete MePo folder under AppData, then do a complete uninstall - consider deleting MySQL folders also (i.e. with the database), do a clean install - no plugins yet. Redo the basic MePo settings and import your channels back into TV Server. Test !!
If everything works without error messages now, you can install your plugins, which will create new empty databases. You can then replace the empty databases with the copies from the renamed folder.
Would have forgotten the msSql part ( using msSql and not MySQL )
and I actualy did not know I had to do the uninstall after the rename.
Is there any difference between runningn mepo with msSql or MySQL?
I have installed the backup plugin, I just feared it would restore too much, not just the settings.
But will give it a shoot today and see what happens
And yes install bare minimum check if it's working the install more..
I know I'm just normaly a bit impatient
No, there is no difference, I am also using MSSQL. A reinstall will in principle maintain your database, but the installer will give you the option of replacing the old one, in which case you would need to search your channels again. Yet I don't think, that the database is having a problem.
Will do a backup of the PC (yes i know i'm a chicken )
Will do the export of the channels from the TV-Server
And run the manual backup
Rename Mepo and MePo - Appdata
Uninstall MePo and anny other strange plugins i have installed...
And the install 1.10 again.
Test it with only default plugins, and then i will se..
