You can try a bin (it should solve freezing on resume but surely not related to MP on startup)

I'll see what I can do. It does not happen every time, so it is one of those hard to find bugs.
I have not looked at the log file myself, but maybe it is the last plug-in to load? Or perhaps what I think is a freeze is just that it is taking a really long time to load?

Every so often, when I switch to a TV channel, my MP client stops accepting user inputs, either from the remote or keyboard/mouse...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
Sorry, I didn't get email notifications on these latest replies. I just came here to report I solved the problem after adjusting power settings for "Intel Graphics". I set it to Maximum Performance. I tried many other things so it could be a combination of them, but this was the last thing I did and I haven't had the problem return...

This happened immediately after my Windows 11 x64 monthly update for November. The update included also cumulative update to .NET...

Wonder what that other one is.
Can you try excluding the recording folder of all background processes? (f.e. defender/antivirus etc, and maybe (don't know if that is even a thing) from creating thumbnails)
