MePo-Green for 0_2_1_0 (5 Viewers)

This is a great skin and has become our default, it has huge WAF. Definitely due to the funky Mepo Man. I think having "basic home" written in large letters on that screen rather detracts from the whole feel of the skin. Whilst those of us who install and fiddle around with MP understand the name and where it has come from it really has no meaning for many and smacks of "computer speak" for many others. Why does the basic home page need an on screen title at all? Its purpose is self evident and i believe the removal of the title would clean up the page and enhance the HTPC feel.

Like i said at the start, an awesome skin and the creators work is very much appreciated here.

Too bad animation can't be used here, but that may not be what you are looking for. I was thinking that some entertainment might help. Yes, I know it may not help out with less "computer speak" but sometimes when people see something entertaining they are less likey to question it. They just think it looks cool. Why do you think advertisers and marketing people get paid so much dreaming up stupid names for technology products/gadgets?

grassynoel: Your Skin is great Get an A+ from my wife (she likes the animations). Unfortunally I found a little "bug" at the WPS. Tracks with more than an hour are not shown correct. See screenshot.

BTW the same "bug" in your simplify Skin (which is great too !!!)

Thanks. Glad you and your wife like it. The bug will be inherited from Blue Two as MePo is just a graphics mod of it and not a whole new skin. I don't know how to correct bugs like that so I'd check with Boilermaker who made Blue Two.

I do not need to know that a pallet fork jewel exists inside a watch to appreciate a Brietling, in this case beauty is skin deep!

Try this:
goto Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\MePo Green\Media and rename basichome_logo.png to basichome_logo.old or something, then copy background_glass_hover_area.png. Rename this copied firl to basichome_logo.png.
This replaces the text image with an empty frame. Next, get out of media to 'Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\MePo Green' and delete the three .png files there called packedgfx... and the .bxml file there too (they get rebuilt when MePo starts.

and you're set.

It looks more convoluted than it is. Give it a try.

Hi Glenn, that worked just fine, many thanks not only for the tip but for all your work with this skin. We have a dedicated HTPC setup and my family just love the MePo Man, a great direction to take this interface and your talents in this area are undeniable.

As a point of interest when i went to my MePo Green\Media folder the file was actually called background_glass_hoover_area.png and not hover_area.png i have changed that png file now to hover as i presume that hoover was a typo. This probably was how it was named when i downloaded the skin as i haven't made any changes to this file. Or maybe i was just operating in a vacuum - boom boom !!
