When using mediaportal for about 15 min. I was browsing through my video's when mediaportal suddenly got messed up and crashed...Log included

    please also add the MediaPortal.log

    do you have the "separate gui render thread" enabled in configuration.exe -> general?

    most likely not ;-)
    Please also add your full log to check if the render thread is active..

    Well I did not have the "separate gui render thread" enabled in configuration. I know I turned it off for some reason but I can not remember why. I read a thread where it said that it was best to turn it off when you want something to work, skin-related I think. Maybe I will fnd that thread again, I will look for it.

    So from what I can understand it is best to turn this on? It makes the GUI faster or am I wrong?

    Using Album info ( Yellow button) MCE remote within 10x album or artist info the GUI gets messed up

    I've seen that before! I get it maybe once every 2 weeks on my jukebox PC. Next time it happens I'll grab a log and post it here.

    A quick fix is to play a VMR9 video which clears the frame buffer

    Yep, that was the problem for me too...I enabled the option suggested by infinityloop. I will keep an eye on things and see if it happens again...
