I apologize if this has been covered before, but I searched and couldn't find it. If someone can post a link to the an existing answer, that will work for me.

I recently did a bunch of updates to MP and StreamedMP since I was many months out-of-date. I was surprised to find that TV and movie listings are now in all uppercase rather than mixed case. I have 2 questions:

1) When did happen and why? I'm just curious.

2) How can change the listings back to mixed case? I prefer the mixed case; it's easier on my eyes.

I've looked all through the skin's options in the installer and the basic home editor, but I can't find an option to change this, so I presume I'll need to edit some XML files. But which one(s)? And what to change? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Changed to UPPER case because it made managing the Large Fonts setting easier. If the user had large fonts on that screen previously, then it would look awful. Until we do some overhaul of the fonts its going to have to stay like that for now.

When we use large fonts, we are basically changing the reading fonts which are generallt mixed case.

We may add a skin condition to use a different font based on setting, this could be done in the interim.

To change it manually, it depends on the GUIDE size you have chosen in settings. Once you know this you can edit the XML in question which would be something like:

    TVMiniGuide.XRows.xml

Where 'x' is the size of the guide.

You need to edit the fonts:

    <font>mediastream11c</font>
    <font2>mediastream11c</font2>

This is done in two places. Remove 'c' from the font to change it to mixed case e.g. mediastream11c -> mediastream11.

Ah. Thanks for the quick reply. If I get a chance, maybe I'll try changing them to see how it looks.

So, there's some plan for the future to make mixed/upper case (or something) an option? That would be perfect.

    Much appreciate the info.
