First of all i want to thank you all for the wonderfull work on MP2.

I may have found a bug in MP2 alpha 4. Anyway i can't get embedded subtitles working for my MKV files.

I have converted my bluray collection lossless to MKV using mkmerge.

Steps to reproduce:
- I installed MP2 alpha 4 on a fresh windows 7 x64 Pro.
- I tried to play MKV but no subtitles show.
- I select the wanted subtitle using the mouse.
- Still no subtitles.
- I Installed DirectVobSub 2.41.5626
- Subtitles now show in Windows Media Player.
- Still no subtitles in MP2.

I included the log file. Any more questions i am happy to answer, so just ask.

So if I understand correctly I have to install ffdshow and try this?
When using mpc it just play fine. That's why I didn't see why to install ffdshow

Can you render this file in graphedit/graphstudio and check if subtitles are visible there? If so, it should work inside MP2 as well, as we also use the automatic filter connection of DirectShow.

Can you post an screenshot of graph?

Next try is to playback same file inside MP2. Use graphedit to connect to the graph (ctrl+g) and post this screenshot as well.

Installed ffdshow and used ffdshow in the codecs setup and now the subtitle works.
Only the settings between the subs can only be reached by mouse. Not with the remote.. Maybe a point of interest for the devs..
So my conclusion is that there is something not wright with the lav codec, or the setting of it... Maybe you guys have those answers?
