I FINALLY got it fixed!!!! Turns out it is a windows 7 issue. I finally was able to get graphedit to run during MP and see that it was not using what I had designated and learned that Win7 defaults to their video decoder no matter what you pick in MP. So I downloaded the Preferred Codec tweaker, and it worked right away!! No more video stuttering and frame dropping!!!!

:D

Great stuff. I was struggling past 2 days trying to get my video quality back on par in Win7 with what it was on XP.
I just changed H264 with that little program and all my stuttering GONE.

    BIG :D

I am still suffering from this issue and I have made sure the correct decoders are being used via Graphedit (I did in fact use the Preferred Codec Tweaker to make this happen the first time). It happens upon coming out of sleep and also when I first boot. The only work around I've found was interacting with Windows directly (going into task manager and clicking on the different tabs) and then switching back to MediaPortal. It's pretty annoying... you will continually stutter until you do the work around.
