Hi there,
my cable provider recently added HD channels to my DVB-C channels. Since then, the TV-Server was unable to switch to any channel. Scanning still found all of my channels (HD and non-HD) but switching to them failed. The HD channels worked though.
I managed to find the cause of this problem. All of my channels hat 256QAM as their Modulation. This is correct for the HD channels but wrong for the non-HD ones (they are 64QAM).
This problem might be caused by my TV cards or drivers (which I doubt), but I couldnt even see the modulation setting in MediaPortal or change it to another value. So would it be possible to add Modulation to the DVB-C Tab of the Channel Editor in the TV-Server Configuration?
For anyone having the same problem: I was able to solve that by exporting my channels to XML, changing all "modulation" atttributes from 11 ( = 256) to 3 ( = 64), and the reimport them.
PS: Great Software! I tried most free Windows and Linux HTPC software out there and they can't compete at all.
