I have experienced the same problem but I didn't report it because I am not running latest SVN version. I am still using Stable 0.2.3.0.

I've the same problem also, but i'm almost sure that it's not related with this skin (it happens the same using my skin and also Blue2) so, report the problem into the bug's forum

    I take it you have copied the three files, and renamed the xml. If you have when you go into movies in config you shoul now have a check box that says "enable IMDB info in shares view", make sure it's checked...

    I can't get it to work either. I have all my films in separete folders, and I have to browse into each folder and select the actual file before the info appears to the right. I get the layout and everything working from renaming the .xml file, but not as in your screenshots (the list to the left / info to the right). Do you have your files in separate folders, Psycho Reptile? I have also experimented with leaving the box for "all films have their own folder" checked/unchecked, but alas, it's makes no difference in my case. And YES, I have the "use IMDB for shares" checked. :D

    Ive done all that - twice. No luck :-/

    What SVN version are the files for? Could you upload the modified files you use so I'm sure I have the right ones?

    OK peeps, let me look into it, I haven't tried that for a while - I was ironing out some other indiscrepencies I found. Hang tight.

    Edit1
    Right, I've just tried it again an everything looks as it should (note date and time of screenie ;)).
    Here's what I did:

    1) Rename MediaPortal\plugins\Windows\WindowPlugins.dll -> WindowPlugins.dll.old
    2) Rename MediaPortal\Configuration.exe -> Configuration.exe.old
    3) Rename MediaPortal\Core.dll -> Core.dll.old
    4) Copy the three files to thier right locations.
    5) Rename MediaPortal\skin\Monochrome\myvideo.xml.old -> myvideo.xml.old
    6) Rename MediaPortal\skin\Monochrome\myvideo for IMDB view.xml -> myvideo.xml
    7) Run config; check "Use IMDB Data in Share view"
    8) Start MP -> Screenshot

    I have my file in this folder structure:

    Movies\Filename.avi
    Kids Movies\Filename.avi

    IMDB data is only displayed when a file (movie) is highlighted.

    I'm running MediaPortal-svn--01-24-2008--05-04-Rev17150.

    That's about all I can do for you guys...

    Edit2
    I've attached the very same files I'm using.

    Thanks PR-

    Hey, should we have to use a svn to make this work or do you think it should work with the stable version?
    just wondering before i mess up a perfectly running setup-and have the wife freak out-again

    Psycho Reptile: Okay then, so basically you've just confirmed that for this to work, the movies can't be in a separete folder for the info to display properly. I guess this is ok as long as you don't have DVD-rips (Audio_ts, Video_ts) folders. Can I suggest to Zeflash (given he as the time and so on) if the possibility to *also* show info for folders (if in movie database)? There is an option in Configuration.exe, next to the added "Use IMDB data in shares view" for folders, but that does not work for shares.

    As the IMDB import works now (within MP), if you go to IMDB when having the folder selected, it will work, but still search for a match of the videofile, not the folder. I can't say how the majority of MP users store their media, but a guess would be in a clean folder hierearchy.

    Thanks

    For me, the IMDB data only shows for movies that are in ISO format. Is that by design? Also, is there suppose to be a top bar in this skin? I don't have one and it's nice to have a exit button. Thanks for all the great work.:D
