mov abspielen in wmp ja in mp nein (2 Viewers)

Hallo

habe das problem das Media Portal meine mov filme von der Camera Panasonic DMC FZ-28 nicht abspielen will
es kommt die fehlermeldung
unable to play
video codec: JPEG
Audio codecCM

Media Portal 1.1 beta
mein OS: Windows 7 x64 Enterprise (unter x86 habe ich es auch getestet)
unter wmp werden die filme abgespielt
sowie unter dem Media center alles ok

habe folgendes probiert:
K Lite codec pack
win7 codec pack
saf 4 beta 22
quicktime alternative 2.92
alles kein erfolg

unter Vista x86 habe ich auch alle codec installiert aber da wird der film nichtmal unter wmp abgespielt, mit media player classic funktionierts

und das plugin videolan funktioniert ja auch nicht mehr unter MP 1.1 um mit vlc es hinzubekommen

hat jemand noch ne idee

Sorry to wrote you in EN
To play ALL MOV (not h.264) files you need to do:

-Install quicktime alternative 2.92
-Install *unlocked* SAF
-Rename *.MOV to *.MOVSD

Now it should be OK - if not, post small MOV sample to test.

i fixed it with the installation of quicktime alternative 1.43
this version install a direct source filter

but what is *unlocked* saf?

habe es auf folgenden system getestet
win7 x64
win7 x86
vista sp2 x86
und es ging nach der installation

hab jetzt nur noch ein problem das auf meinem hauptsystem auf dem k-lte 4.7 installiert war
der halli splitter und noch der coreAVC installiert ist
das bei den mov nur der ton kommt aber kein bild
es gibt doch ne möglichkeit mit einem tool namens graph edit oder so herauszufinden welcher codec genommen wird

I have almost the same problem just that I am unable to play h254 .mov files in MP. In WMP they are playing perfect even without ANY codecs installed - just a barebone Windows 7 x64. The come from my Canon SX1 camera. I have tried SAF 5.0, full quicktime, CoreAVC, Haili Media Splitter, ffdshow, Quicktime alternative but I just cannot get it to play in MP. The best is with Haili or SAF/ffdshow - then it is playing but with a lot of stuttering - not watchable. I have testet this on several different machines with different HW - so I am sure it has nothing to do with HW. Do any of yo have any idea of why it is not working in MP when it is in WMP?

If you installed all of this in one machine... man, that a mess...
Can you provide small sample to test?

Ahh - no I haven't installed it all at once ;-)

I have made a "little" 6 sek. or so sample of a whooping 32 megs or so. I have renamed it to .mpe1 since .mov's is not allowed to be uploaded.

Tested with "saf500svn.exe" - it is working fine in Graphstudio (i dont have MePo installed here at work).

Hmm - I will give it a try again. I have a image of my testing machine with only Windows 7 and all HW drivers. Have you only got SAF500svn installed and nothing else?

Hi again,

I have now tried with a fresh machine/image with Windows 7 64bit and HW drivers. I have installede SAF500svn.exe from 9th of November and DirectX-11 from june 2010 as the only installed programs. When I try to play the sample movie Graphstudio, I only see a black window. When I try in WMP it is playing nicely. I have attached a screendump from Graphstudio. Is there any log files or elsewhere that I could learn something from?
