Hi again,

I have now tried with a fresh machine/image with Windows 7 64bit and HW drivers. I have installede SAF500svn.exe from 9th of November and DirectX-11 from june 2010 as the only installed programs. When I try to play the sample movie Graphstudio, I only see a black window. When I try in WMP it is playing nicely. I have attached a screendump from Graphstudio. Is there any log files or elsewhere that I could learn something from?

Must be problem with you GPU drivers (DxVA seems to be not working).
Try to disable it START-SAF-FFDShow DxVA decoder, uncheck h.264 decoding.

Yes now it is working - but choppy. I will give it a try on another machine but that will have to wait until later tonight.

Your sample playing perfectly on my PC with DxVA on (ATI 5770+Win7x64).

I have now tried it on another machine - but unfortunately it is without HW acceleration. Can it be because my HTPC is on of the new Zboxes ID33 from Zotac with a Nvidia Ion GPU/chipset? But it is fully capable of playing 1080p material and has HW acceleration. But when h264 is checked it displays no picture/movie.

Hmmm - Now I have tried with the most recent drivers from both Zotac and Nvidia. Nothing changed. I'm about ripping my hair out - or whats left of it... Is there any log that I could look in to get closer to why this isn't working?

Hi again,

I have now tried SAF500SVN with the sample movie on a brand new out of the box Dell E6510 QuadCore with Nvidia NVS3100M Graphics which are capable of Purevideo HD. On this machine GraphStudio is also displaying a black screen. MPC_HC is just saying "Playing [DXVA]" but is not counting seconds or showing anything on the screen - black screen here to.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have still not been able to solve the problems. Could it be because both the machines I have been testing on has a Nvidia GPU? I can see that you have been testing my sample on an ATI GPU.

If your file plays fine in WMP, try connecting to its graph using graphstudio.

I have already tried that - but it doesn't work - nothing displays i GraphStudio :-(

I would really like to now how WMP does it because it is working flawless even without SAF installed.
