What's the difference between Seven Digital 1, 2, etc and HD ? I'm assuming it's different formats. also none, sbs etc, tired googling but not much results !!

in a proper set up with a govwerment that wasnt petrified about upsetting the cable companies, each different stream in digital TV would different program. In Australia, the networks are only allowed to show the same thing on each channel stream (except for special occasions like the Olympics). Only SBS and ABC are exempt from this.

I don't think any other country in the world transmits the same channel four times on each stream.

sorry guys, had to put media portal on the back burner for a while... i.e had to give the digital TV card back

want to ramp up again, so my question is, what is the cheapest digital TV card (eith pci or usb !) out there that will work with media portal and also work in Australia ???

any on ebay worth it ??

don't care if it doesn't have video in, will buy a better card for that, later on !

The cheapest is probably the Leadteck one for around $80 from www.cpl.net.au in Melb.

My favourite is the compro t-200 or t-300. You're looking at around $119 for the dtv only t-200 or $129 for the Analogue and Digital t-300.

I think www.pccasegear.com.au has the best prices there.
