This is an awesome plug-in! Certainly now with the parental controls implemented.

    I have to ask a dumb question related to that though;

I activated parental control and released all files that are in the 'children' directory, perfect. Now when I go to moving pictures I only see the files in that directory and not those in the directory called 'parents'. I take it that is by design, they will show after I enter the code?

BUT HOW/WHERE DO I ENTER THE CODE?

A lock shows in the top right, but I cannot navigate there because the top bar moves over it as soon as I go there, is that it?

Use the context menu (F9 on keyboard by default and whatever button you programmed your remote to be), within this menu you have the option to unlock the parental code hidden entries. Once unhidden you can toggle them hidden again via the same way.

    Thanks.

I'm testing this on a machine w/o remote, needed that F9 suggestion. Works great.

Did find a work-around at the same time; select an unrestricted category (children), then there is a menu on right. F9 / i is much more elegant.

    Hi,
I have MP 1.0.2 and Moving Pictures 1.0.2 installed.
I would like to install Moving Pictures 1.0.4 to gain stability.

As I want to reuse my MovingPictures database,
Is it possible to install the new Moving Pictures and overwrite the database files, cover and backdrop folders to have all my movies in the new version?

If you just run the Moving Pictures installer for the new version it will preserve all your settings (database, images, etc) automatically.

Moving Pictures doesn't correctly mark the video resolution for files that have horizontal and vertical cropping. For example, 1920x800 will be marked fine, but 1916x800 won't.

    Here are some problem resolutions:

    1916x816
    1916x796
    1440x1072
    1440x1078

Also, is it possible to mark a film as a Blu-ray? I have a number of remuxed Blu-Rays in MKV containers which I would like to show up as Blu-Rays to differentiate from encodes. I append the filename with "Remux" so it should be easy to do with a script.

Edit: Even when marked as Bluray, the label is not shown in the main screen, but is shown in the movie details screen.

I didn't see anyone comment, so I just wanted to note that Moving Pictures works great with RC4.

What's the latest news with Moving Pictures? There hasn't been an update since Feb 24th, but the project page shows lots of shiny new features penciled in for later versions.

It's summertime :) The team has family, friends and work in their minds now. They did a hard work making the 1.0 release possible. fforde told me only a few things is missing before RC goes to 1.0. After that has been released new features may come later on, but personally i don't think much will happen before fall :)

This is about right. We are about to push out 1.0 Final which mostly will just include some scraper script updates. After that we will focus on 1.1 which will have a handful of new features and should coincide with the launch of Moving Pictures Social. It wont be as big a jump as the last release though so hopefully once we get rolling with it, it will not take too long.
