Hi Guys,

i got a little problem with the filmstrip view of moving pictures while using streamedmp. Everything is the newest version.

The Filmstrip View works great but when i chose a movie and press Enter to see the details of the movie and then go back i see the fanart and description of that movie -which is right this way- but the filmstrips went back to the beginning and i have to scroll all the way to the last movie to be able to continue the search for the movie i wanna watch.

Is this behavior intended? Or can anyone please tell me if its just a little configuration in the xml file or anything?
Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Strange, I cant reproduce this issue. The only time I see this problem is when I exit back to home and back-in to the plugin.

You should know though, the filmstrip layout does not allow the plugin to programatically set the selected list item. In all other layouts this is possible but it was never implemented for Filmstrip :(

From my understanding this should only occur when the facade needs to re-load, as the item would need to be re-selected. What I know of Moving Pictures when entering details view is that it sets the main facade (filmstrip, list, thumbnails etc) to invisible and then makes it visible again when exiting....so it should just work....I could be off base here.

I would like to know though why the first item is selected in your case.

In TVSeries plugin, we need to reload the facade as we change items between group, series, season, episode. I added a little hack to use ACTION commands to move right until last item is selected.

    hi again,

i installed the standalone version of moving pictures over my streamedmp one and now it behaves a bit different:

when i go into the details of a movie an back it still resides at the movie (thats great!). It only goes back to the first movie when i start playing a movie.

For example: I play a movie with a K and when i press stop and back i come back to filmstrip view and the first item.

That sounds somewhat like itfearme said in his second passage, am i right?

So i guess well just have to live with it or use the list view or anything.

I also have the same problem as you have be it filmstrip or thumbnail view.

Me too. I thought, that was intentional.

If it was intentional it would be the first plugin for videos/movies that works that way. I would hope its just a bug as like others have said it should remember the last movie played and pick up the display from there.

For me, the same behavior. As an idea - my remote uses [prev window] event (I don't exactly remember) to go back, may be it should be another event?
