    Too fast, problem still persists

    I was too fast, the problem still persists. It arises when the machine is waking up from hibernate in full screen mode and in window mode.

    Additionally I have discovered another problem. Perhaps this is pointer to the real problem:

    05.02.2006 18:06:02 GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded id:2 ex:Das Objekt mit dem Typ MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIButtonControl kann nicht in den Typ MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUISortButtonControl konvertiert werden. bei System.RuntimeType.CheckValue(Object value, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, BindingFlags invokeAttr)
    bei System.Reflection.RtFieldInfo.InternalSetValue(Object obj, Object value, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, Boolean doVisibilityCheck, Boolean doCheckConsistency)
    bei System.Reflection.RtFieldInfo.SetValue(Object obj, Object value, BindingFlags invokeAttr, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnWindowLoaded() MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler
    05.02.2006 18:06:02 OnMessage exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.UpdateButtonStates()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.LoadDirectory()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.OnPageLoad()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)
    05.02.2006 18:06:12 OnMessage exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.UpdateButtonStates()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.LoadDirectory()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.OnPageLoad()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)
    05.02.2006 18:06:19 OnMessage exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.UpdateButtonStates()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.LoadDirectory()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.TV.GUITVScheduler.OnPageLoad()
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)

    I'll check for details, when exactly it happens.

    /Gerd

    Taipan:
    Looks like I am going to have to do a fresh install from the beginning to get rid of this one....
    .

    That's what I did, and now it works.... No idea why. But my suspicion goes to the database.

    Perhaps we should use another DB- system like "ORACLE Enterprise" for around 20K EUR as the underlying DB. No, just kidding ;-).

    Reason for my frustation is that I'm also struggling with MYSQL @work and we think to move there to a another DB.

    /Regards

    Did you do a fresh install of just MediaPortal, or did you do a fresh install of Windows XP, too?

    I know this may sound strange but there's an option in MediaPortal settings under music to look for embedded id3 tags, uncheck this and the radio function should word perfectly. 8)

    How on earth did you discover that connection? That is so weird!

    You are quite correct, unselect the "Load ID3 tags from file if it's not in music database" in the My Music configuration, and then My radio works fine.... :?

    Thankyou very much - I have been chasing this problem for weeks... :roll:
