MP 0.2.3.0 RC3/MyFilms v4.2.6a SVN Keeps asking to Insert Disc? (1 Viewer)

I do a test and effectively the choice for launching the rigth file doesn't work anymore with RC3
I have to take a look on it ....:sorry:
Have you try to put your movies filenames separated by commas in the corresponding item of your database ?

example : URL = F:\divx\file1.avi,F:\divx\file2.avi,F:\divx\file3.avi

I have never tried with "," I have always used ";" to seperate the files.
Seperating with ";" only works for 1 and 2 part movies!
I will try the "," when I get back home on Wednesday

I alway rename my files to "movie cd1", "movie cd2", "movie cd3" and the I use "URL = C:\Film\movie cd1".

I store all my movies in a separate partition e.g.

S:\Movies\MovieNameXCYZ.avi

I specify the above path in the URL field of Ant Movie Catalogue.

MyMoives plug-in works great if there is only ONE movie file to play, but when there is 2 or more then it asks me to insert disc no xxx, If I then click okay, the two CD’s scroll onto the screen as normal and I can play the movie.

I would like to get rid of this message requesting for disc xxx, before the cd’s scroll onto the screen.

I have also noticed when there is more then 2 movie files, nothing happens at all. i.e. no disc’s float onto the screen…

Lastly, is it true I can make a playlist of 2 or more movies and specify this in the URL filed of Ant Movie Catalogue? What do I use to make a play list, Windows Media Player or Winamp?

If you have more than one file , you have many solutions :

3- you can do a playlist (.m3u text file) with a list (max 15) of files :
ex Myplaylist.m3u :
Mymovie-part1.avi
Mymovie-part2.avi
Mymovie-part3.avi
otherfile.avi

NB : all files must be on HDD, if some files are on CD, no asking for mounting will be done :sorry:

I tried making a playlist like your example shows. I named the movie "Mymovie-part1","Mymovie-part2","Mymovie-part3",

Created a m3u file called "Myplaylist.m3u" with the below input:
Mymovie-part1.wmv
Mymovie-part2.wmv
Mymovie-part3.wmv

Mp still only gives me the option to choose 2 disk.

What Am I missing?

There were a lot of change with MP RC3
I try with a movie in 2 parts :
If i put only the first part in my URL item, MP launch only the first part and stop !
If I put the two part (c:\mymovie-cd1.avi, c:\mymovie-cd2), I got a windows for choosing between 4 parts
The only way to work is to name the two part differently (without -cd1 and -cd2) and give the two names in the url item (c:\mymovie1.avi, c:\mymovie2.avi).

I have to modify the code to be well with the new concept of movies part in RC3
Please give me some time to do :sorry:

I am using the 4.2.4 SVN versjon for now. M3u files works great with this versjon.

So, does ANY version of My Movies work with the latest SVN? Can someone post it somewhere, please. So we can use it until Zebons finishes the update.

All the ones I found either have a blank screen or crash at the Settings level, or keep asking for the DVD, or keep asking for the Ant xml file:-(

When you using m3u playlists are you 100% sure that your paths are correct in not only the ANT XML but also the playlist itself as I only get the error about inserting the disc if the path is wrong.

For me with the everything is working fine with the an SVN of RC3 from Friday.
