MP 1.0.1 and problem with HD picture. (1 Viewer)

My video chip/card is an nVidia GeForce 7100 integrated on the motherboard (Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H GeForce 7100 Socket 775 onboard VGA 8 channel audio mATX Motherboard) and I have allocated 256MB memory.

I think this is well within the spec. - and as I said has been working OK with MP and still works OK with DVBViewer.

I have the exact same motherboard, and HD in 1.0.1 is working for me under Vista through HDMI.

How did you install to 1.0.1? I ask because I am beginning to think there may be issues with the upgrade process.

I have gone back to 1.0 final and upgraded to 1.0.1. I can now get HD TV, but only with one codec (something called PCM .H264/AVC which I don't know the origin of). On previous versions I could use Cyberlink, DIVX, MPC and ffdshow, none of which will now work.

I would prefer to use the Cyberlink decoder since I think this gave the best picture.

The reason I suspect the upgrade process is that I still see the basic screen as 1.0.0.0. I have gone into MP configuration and selected the Blue3 Wide 1.0.1.0 several times (always clicked on OK) but never see it used. I therefore wonder what else might be being dragged forward from previous versions. Is there anyone else who sees things like this?

I think I might wait for 1.0.2 as I'm somewhat reluctant to get involved with using SVNs now I at least have something that works.

I upgraded from 1.0.0.0 and it displays 1.0.1.0 in the splash screen while loading up mediaportal. I am using the cyberlink h.264 codec from PDVD8, at least that is what is selected in configuration, i haven't double checked to see if that is what it is actually using.

Thanks for that. I also see the 1.0.1.0 in the splash screen, but not in the Blue3 Wide skin even though I selected it. Am I supposed to? Anyone who can answer this please?
