+1 intermittent stuttering but audio is ok.
I will check signal and collect logs. I did not experience this with 1.2.0 Beta.

Edit:
Added logs

AW: MP 1.2.0RC TV micro freezes

    I can confirm this :)
In 1.2 Beta I hadn't ever stuttering (only some glitches from time to time) on RTL/Pro7 ... except DMAX & SpiegelTV, but now I have those micro freezes, too.
I can't provide logs atm, because I don't know the time anymore, but I will see what I can do :)

My signal strength is around 35-45%, I can't say if that is bad or not, because I don't know the reference MP is using to calculate this :)
Any infos from the others on that?^^

    Note:
I'm using the patched TsReader mod 11, TsWriter is from RC

Edit: I had only freezes if the signal strength was under ~30%

We don't use a reference - we simply show the details provided by the tuner. The tuner manufacturers mostly ignore the BDA specification reference and just make up a number between 0 and 100.

I have an impulse noise issue in this house too. I haven't watched much live TV since I upgraded from 1.2.0Beta to RC, so I can't confirm the issue yet. I'll watch the NRL tonight to see if I see it there.

Do you have the don't drop discontinued packets option ticked? TV Client - MediaPortal Wiki - I know I do, so maybe that's why I haven't seen it?

Might be, I have ticked it now. I will report back with the result.

bluebear: when you collected the logs, was it just one stutter, or continuous?
I ask because I see a single discontinuity in your TsReader logs (approximately 10 seconds before you stop the TV), which could be just a signal glitch:

    01-09-2011 23:57:27.585 [a7c]Audio Continuity error... e ( prev c )

    01-09-2011 23:57:27.585 [a7c]Video Continuity error... e ( prev 4 )

    01-09-2011 23:57:27.721 [a7c]aud:set discontinuity

    01-09-2011 23:57:28.096 [860]vid:set discontinuity

I also see quite a few of these in your MP log:

Those happen every few seconds while you're watching RT. I could be completely wrong, but maybe it is related? It just seems suspicious as I don't see anything else that would explain it.

Hi and thanks for checking my logs.
You are correct it was one glitch/stutter. It was late so I was satisfied with that so I turned it off. Just wanted to back my claims with a log. Do you need a longer test? If so I have to fix it later to day.
I help a friend with nearly same setup and the same problemis on his setup. And he has better reception than I have, in my book it is perfect;) No glitches or pixelation with normal satbox, nor have I.

    Code:
    2011-09-01 23:56:29.921680 [Info.][MediaScanner(16)]: SQLiteClient: Closing database: VideoDatabaseV5.db3
I have no idea what this is. Scanning my video folder?

I have ticked the "don't drop discontinued packets option", I post back on the results but it looks promising.

    Regards,

+1 In 1.2 Beta I did not have any stuttering (only some pixelation from time to time). It seems, that instead of showing the pixelation mediaportal makes a short stuttering - sometimes also audiostuttering but primarily video.
