MP 1.2.1 patch IR Server IR functions disabled [FIX IN THREAD] (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately, I had my main boot OS drive fail last week. Since MePo is our only source of TV and Media throughout the house I rebuilt it on a temporary drive. However, I did have the chance to upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 before I did the next reinstall (to a SSD boot drive) and the blaster part fucntioned fine.

So when I rebuilt again, now using a SSD drive as the boot drive, I got everything back to 1.2.1, and working and the server, and clients.

At that time I did a disk image (*note 1) just in case, and then updated the server and all clients to 1.2.2 and I can say that everything is working.

Just thought I would share that with the group.

*note 1: Using Windows 7, 32-bit Professional, I couldn't get the image or disk backup to only backup my boot drive, it always wanted to included my Recordings drive too. So I searched out an alternative, and used http://www.todo-backup.com/business/free-backup.htm instead.
To bad, or I would have saved the $30 and used Win 7 Home Premium instead.

Hi there. I hope someone can help me here. I have MP 1.2.3 and IRSS 1.5.0.62. OS Win7 32bit, TV tuner: Hauppauge PVR150 with Hauppauge mce remote kit (receiver, transmitter) STB: DSD1132 (also tried with DSD1131)
Problem:
-Blasting to STB doesnt work. In the IRSS plugin learning the remote commands doesn't work at all it just times out. Even tried copping other member's .IR files and that also doesn't work. Have done re-installs and re setups but nothing helps. Blasting in MCE works perfectly though.

Nicot I have to set up MP today after my server got zapped in a thunder storm. I have never setup with an MCE blaster before with MP but did with nextpvr. If every thing works the same you learn the remote commands in the translator function of IRSS and leave it running. All should work fine then. If not let me know or if I find that it dose not work I will post how I got it to work. Hope I helped and I have to add I have my 5 year old home with me today so I may get this done.

Thanx for the reply leigh, after viewing your reply I tried re-installed (again) IRSS and tried the translater method (again) and for some strange reason the learning function actually started working but when I got two button number 2 it just stopped learning and kept on timing out. After triying again for a few times with no results I decided thats it... format, re-install everything and redo everthing. So a couple of hours and too many cups o java later I had a clean Win7 32 with the latest updates, MP, IRSS and just the necessary drivers with no added extras. And ..... nothing no learning happening. I must add that the usb receiver doesn't respond to the STB remote like it does in MCE when learning and when I had the brief moment of IRSS actually starting to learn the remote commands ( a quick repeated flash of the red led). So I am stumped. Attatched are my logs if anyone can have a look and see if there is some useful info in there.

Does anyone perhaps have the IR Command files (.IR) of the DSD1131 or DSD1132 that I can try and copy it over and see if that helps?

I don't think your copy and past method will work for you! What I'm thinking is that you down grad IRSS to this version IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.4290. I know it works. I all so have to add I only use IRSS for blasting via firewire and can not get it to work as of right now. I have my kids this week and will not have time to play with this until next week. So if you get it let me know what you did. The next thing I will add is to make an install image with windows up to date and all drivers installed it saves time on the reformat end that go with this. I for one am re-installing all the time to get a clean install that works.

I have been trying to get an older version of IRSS but I just end up at the latest version. Anyone any idea of where I can get hold of previous versions?
