Is there a way to see what caused the start of the PC running Mepo?
Is there also a way to see what stopped it for going into hibernation again?

From time to time it seems to start, without a reason (most likely there is one) but I'm just trying to figure out why it's starting at 3in the morning.

Sorry how should MePo system logs help if my PC randomly is starting up? And the Power Monitor of the PC is shutting it down without the client running?
And i will be happy to provide Specs / System Logs but have the curtesy of letting me know what..
This was more a generic question, not necessarily of MePo 2.4.1

There are too less infos to really think about a root cause.
    • Which version of Windows are you using?
    • Did the problem start after installing MP2 or did you experience it before?
    • Have you have user/player around with the power scheduler?
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. Under Choose or customize a power plan, ensure that the Recommended or Default power settings (radio button) is enabled. This should help reset back to factory settings. Shutdown or restart computer and check if the factory default settings are applied.

    This might also help.

Well i had no idea where to look :) so will check
Regarding if it started after 2.4.1, I’m not sure..
But as always if you “just” updated you are observing it more :)

    Sorry been a bit busy.
    Windows version 22H2 - 19045.2251
I might have played with the power plan, but that was for the screen to never turn off
    Sleep is set to 10
    Balanced(recommended) is enabled.
I had again this morning that the PC turned on at 08:20 ish and off 08:30 that would "cover" the sleep of 10 min.
But no clue why it started at that time.
I have a weekly reboot of the PC that's 05:30 on Saturday.

    Accordingly to this page:

Eventid 6005, 6006 shows startup and shutdown.
And there i can see the startup and shutdown at

    2022-11-19 05:31:07
    2022-11-19 05:31:49

    2022-11-12 05:30:57
    2022-11-12 05:31:31

But not the one where it started at 08:20 today.

Also not the one where i turned it on from hibernation.
So maybe hibernation start and stop are not shown in the event log

the power trigger log however is showing me :
2022-11-19 08:32:50 Suspend power state change.

One of the quirks that I have noticed with MP1 is that TV Server sometimes wakes the system to record a programme that you have already cancelled.

Usually this is a "series recording" where (perhaps) there are unwanted episodes scheduled to record, so you manually cancel those episodes. But TV Server does not seem to process the cancellations correctly, so TV Server wakes the system to record those episodes. However, because the episodes have been cancelled, there is nothing to record, so the system returns to sleep or hibernation after the set timeout.

I realise that you are using MP2, but if you are using MP's TV Server (not TV Mosaic), MP2 may suffer from this quirk too. So the question is: were there cancelled episodes due to record at the times that your system woke?

One point: this quirk does not happen every time you cancel a single episode of a series -- there must be some other required circumstances that cause this error to occur (but I have not identified what they might be).

Well that would make sense :)
But I’m using mosaic. I should have disabled anything related to MePo 1, TV Service is stopped.

I also found this setting: Automatic Maintenance,
It was scheduled for 02:00 and wake up the PC
I have disabled this now. So lets see.
