    Since MP1.6. I have always the same issue, when I wake up my HTPC from standby.
    When I start MP it takes much, much longer before MP shows the Homescreen (about 3...6x longer), than usually.
    Also the reaction times to commands from my RC is extremely slow.
    When I then start a recorded file MP crashes.
    When I restart MP everything is OK.
    I have this problem since MP1.6 when I also upgraded my system from WinXP to Win7 Prof./64bit.

    Kind regards

    Roger

    When you say 'starting a recording', do you mean starting to record a programme, or starting to play a previously recorded programme?

    Try to disable Infoservice by quick look, it's an incompatible version.

    Also i think some other plugins are not working but the main issue will be :
    [2014-03-02 13:23:16,644] [Log ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Mixer.GetControl.2
    bei MediaPortal.Mixer.Mixer.GetControl(MixerComponentType componentType, MixerControlType controlType)
    bei MediaPortal.Mixer.Mixer.Open(Int32 mixerIndex, Boolean isDigital)
    bei MediaPortal.Player.VolumeHandler..ctor(Int32[] volumeTable)
    bei MediaPortal.Player.VolumeHandler.CreateInstance()
    bei MediaPortal.Player.VolumeHandler.get_Instance()
    bei MediaPortalApp.OnStartup()
    bei MediaPortal.D3D.OnLoad(Object sender, EventArgs e)

    It seems like the audio device is not fully ready on wake up and lead to a crash when you start to play a recording.
    Does it happen too when start a movie or serie (video) ?
    Thanks

    Try to start MP with watchdog options1 and see what happen in both case (TV recording and video) and upload log :)
    Thanks :)

    Sorry for disambiguity. I meant "playing a previously recorded programme"

    Kind regards

    Well it was already in MP1.6. and I have updated the infoservice.dll to the version that is compatible with MP1.7.Pre.
    So I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Infoservice.

    Kind regards Roger

    Yep it's more related to audio device not yet ready or something but still infoservice is not ok (maybe the one from MPEI is not up to date)

    It seems like the audio device is not fully ready on wake up and lead to a crash when you start to play a recording.

    Strange, because it also happens, when the HTPC is running for hours after wakeup.
    It's only the first time I start MP after wakeup, no matter how much time has expired since wakeup.

    Does it happen too when start a movie or serie (video) ?

    Can't tell because all of my videos/movies are recorded TV-shows (.ts-files).

    Try to start MP with watchdog options1 and see what happen in both case (TV recording and video) and upload log :)
    Thanks :)

    I will try and report tomorrow.

    Thanks for help

    No more error when starting MP in Debug mode!
    Tried it twice and MP started fast and flawless after wakeup.
    Will now try to activate one plugin after the other to find out, which one causes the issue.

    Just an idea: The only plugin I use that has some affiliation with the soundcard is the Power-Scheduler plugin which has an option to "unmute master volume on start and on leaving away mode". I disabled this feature before starting MP in debug mode.
    Perhaps this is the culprit?
    We will see.

    Thanks for now

    Roger

    Yep that possible :)
    Good idea to try one by one :) hope you will find the culprit one and after will be the time to fix it :)

    It seems that the error resulted from my RC which send multiple "Start MP" commands.
    When I start MP manually the error doesn't come up even after enabling all plugins.
