I was getting stuttering on HD TV (live and recorded) within mediaportal using PowerDVD and also in PowerDVD outside MP, but HD was fine using mediaplayer and ffdshow. So I changed the options within MP to ffdshow instead of PowerDVD. However, MP continued to use PowerDVD (as shown by GraphStudio). Whatever I tried I couldn't get it to use ffdshow as per the options. The last resort was to uninstall PowerDVD. Now MP won't play Live or Recorded HD TV at all and the following is in the MP error log : 2009-11-25 13:52:56.516547 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed:unable to add filter:ffdshow Video Decoder to graph 2009-11-25 13:52:56.516547 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed filter:ffdshow Video Decoder not found Watching the recorded HD TV outside MP with MediaPlayer and ffdshow is still fine. Thanks. Bob. [/QUOTE]
